Nacho Dip

DSC_0282Nacho dip, there must be a million different ways to make it, some add meat, others leave it vegetarian, some bake it others leave it cold…however, you make it I’m sure it’s delicious.  This night I’m making something for a pot luck…and I was out of ideas and time so what is the quickest, most love item I can think of to whip up…….nacho dip.  The great thing about this isDSC_0283 you can go with from scratch or just pick up the ingredients at your local grocery store and both ways turn out great.

For me I use 250 g of cream cheese room temperature, 250ml sour cream…I use the restaurant style, 430 ml of salsa, 1/4 block of marble cheese, tomatoes, green onions, and 9×13 pan.  Whip the cream cheese and sour cream together until as smooth as you can get it.  Then spread out in the bottom of the 9×13 pan, next layer is the salsa, DSC_0284spread evenly over the cream cheese mixture.  I then shred the cheese and sprinkle over the salsa.  Top it off with the finely chopped tomato and some green onions and spread them over the cheese.DSC_0285

If at all possible I like to make this dip up the night before I’m going to serve it…I find it blends the flavors and makes it just that bit more delicious.  Quick, easy, always a hit pot luck dish.  Enjoy
